Tanner Ross || ONE YEAR

oh tanner. you are all boy. 

you are sweet beyond words yet so determined and strong willed. it's one of my most favorite things about you. I can't wait to see who you become over this next year, yet I'm also a bit nervous about it. you're already so adventurous and don't seem to hesitate when you've got your mind on something.

sweet tanner boy of mine, you made me a boy mom and it's been something new that i've loved so so much. I think about you and your future all the time. who you will be. what you will become. and who you will impact with your life. I pray you grow and stay close to the lord. 

you came and entered this world on the absolute least expected day. the best birthday present your sister has ever received and one we'll never be able to top. there is really something special between you two and I believe it's got a lot to do with the birthday twin thing :)

you are filled with so much joy and such a calm, tender spirit. you remind me so much of your daddy. 

my precious boy. you've got the most special place in my heart. 

second time around and yet you have taught me so much more about motherhood and myself than I thought there was to learn.

I'll never, ever stop kissing on you.

Tanner Ross, you're MY boy.  From the moment we found out we were having a boy, deep down I was so excited to be able to have a Son to love and cherish forever.  You're so much like me in so many ways, but you will be a world changer some day.  Stay close to Jesus and He will always guide your path.  I'm so excited for the years to come to see how you will grow into a little boy.  

This first year of your life has been an absolute dream for us!  I can't believe we're here already.  Your Mom's letter to Harper got my eyes watering, which doesn't happen to often.  You're both the most amazing gifts God could ever give us and we're so grateful for you.  Stay strong and courageous and know that I will always be there for you.  Thanks for giving me the greatest year of my life!

9 + 10 + 11 month favorites

three months included here and as I look back at nine months it seems like forever ago! 

but since tanner hit that age and has been nonstop mobile, we've used a lot of the same items and not much has changed in this department.

life these last couple months have been a whole lotta food, sleep, playing, + me running around.

george hats //  this one has been a more recent item for us as summer has approached. I feel like I'm constantly putting a hat on tanner to protect his little head from the sun. because sunscreen IN THE HAIR is the absolute worst. it's also so cute on him that I wish would've been having him wear one forever ago! and the sun hat is just perrrfect for pool days!

honest night time diapers // we used these with both our babies and they are THE BEST. once they reach the age where middle of the night diaper changes were out & in tanner's case tummy sleeping started causing some leaking. honest dipes for the win!

contigo water bottle // what harper has, tanner wants. siblings!! so the boy version of the contigo kids water bottle was added to my target shopping list. I've loved the stainless steel for keeping the water colder longer. though it is heavier and he no longer gets to have it in his highchair cause when he throws that down-- I fear for my toes every time.

honest baby multi vitamin // tanner gets one packet of this every morning in his yogurt and loves it!

baby finger toothbrush + gel // boy has EIGHT teeth. and eats LOTS of food. so those chompers need some cleaning! I used to use a baby washcloth to wipe them, but he started biting my finger, so this gives a little more protection on my part haha!

snack cups // so many snack cups out there! we fill them with cheerios, puffs, goldfish, ect. I love these OXO ones cause they come with a lid for when they're stored in the diaper bag. helps save on some of the crumby mess!

booth bath mat // this thing has a hook to HANG over the shower head so it can hang and dry out after bath. finally someone came up with this!!

how, oh how can it be!?

you're E L E V E N months old today and I honest to goodness don't know how we've even gotten here. 

boy you just bring so, so much joy to us all. 

such a happy camper, with a calm spirit. 

a mama's boy at it's finest + you are ever so dear to me.

sensitive, yet determined.

I dream about you and what your future holds so often. it's such a bright one ahead for you and I pray you will always hold your mama close to your heart.

sweet boy, it brings tears to my eyes as we're getting closer to closing in on your first year of life. it's been a year of challenges and you've taught me so much about myself. made me stronger. made me more patient + compassionate. 

this past year you've molded me into who I am.

though it is so emotional and breaks my heart a little seeing you get so stinking big, it also brings me the biggest joy and I couldn't be more excited to continue to watch you as you grow more and more into yourself.

11 month things:

--tooth number 8 made it's way! (5/19) you've got quite the mouthful of chomppers and i just love how every time you smile and get excited, those little teeth are showing off.

--as soon as his little cold passed, we started off the month with some great nights! usually one quick night wake up and a handful of nights without any! and THEN about a week and a half ago, we've been going consistent with NO NIGHT WAKE UPS!
